There is nothing more inspiring than an inspiration board. (My personal board is pictured above). If you are unfamiliar with the concept, an inspiration board is exactly as it sounds: a board (any size) compiled of anything and everything that inspires you. My board is centered around fashion (shocking, I know...). I made this board at the beginning of Fall/Winter so I could remember all the looks that I loved and wanted to wear for the upcoming season. It includes celebrities styles that I love, dried roses that remind of specific occassions, a glittery dove (that was tied to a present that was given to me, and the sparkle inspired me for the winter season), and a color palette ripped out of a magazine. It looks like an absolute mess, but it makes sense to me, and your board should make sense to you! I often look at mine while I am getting ready if I am completely stumped on what to wear (you know those mornings when you are staring at a closet FULL of clothes, but feel as if you have nothing??). I simply take a glance at my inspiration board, and it gets me back on track and gives me ideas for possible options for the day.
Look around you for inspiration. It is everywhere. It can be in a ticket stub of a favorite movie that inspired you, or a ring from a cracker jack box. Whatever it may be, keep it for reference and I encourage you to be inspired everyday.
